The rolled hem presser foot allows you to make a hem of up to 3mm.
You can make it with straight or zig-zag stitches, and you can recognize it by the snail shape in the center.

You can make it with straight or zig-zag stitches, and you can recognize it by the snail shape in the center.
The first thing to do is to measure from your waist the length you want.
Measure the waist contour of your skirt and mark the middle with your chalk; and from the middle, mark the length; that is to say, the 40 cm.
Also measure across the width and mark the middle again.
This measurement will be the shortest of your skirt.
Now cut along the line you traced and also cut the original hem of your skirt.
If your skirt has a lining, mark the new length of the lining by going up a few centimeters so that the lining is shorter than the skirt, and draw a straight line and cut.
Set your machine with a narrow zig-zag stitch, which is recommended for this presser foot.
Place the narrow rolled hem presser foot on your machine, arrange the fabric to fit into the snail of the presser foot, and start sewing.
8. Once we have the hem of the skirt, we must hem the lining (in case your skirt has a lining).
Fold a little to sew the hem.
You can use a zig-zag stitch, a decorative stitch, or you can stitch the hem with a straight stitch.
We already have a new skirt and a new look.
Remember that in casual skirts, you can use bright colors and prints.
