1. Use straight machine bobbins
The number one tip is to wind the thread on the bobbins of a regular machine.
Just place them in the thread holders of the domestic overlock machine to thread the needles.
2. Combine the threads
Our second recommendation is to combine thread colors of the same color range when sewing the colors blend with the stitches and the fabric.
It’s not always necessary to have a thread of the exact color of the fabric.
- In the same seam, you can combine shades of the same color, but it’s necessary to analyze that the project lends itself to do that.
3. Add more neutral-colored threads
The third tip is to add to your thread stock neutral colors that mix easily.
- You can try with ivory, gray, pink, or pastel colors to combine them and with other shades.
Still, you should avoid primary color threads such as red or yellow because they don’t hide easily in different colors of fabrics.
4. Use colored-threads to your favor
The fourth tip is if you only have a cone of colored thread that matches precisely with the color of the fabric you are going to sew:
Use it in the needle of the sewing line so that the other threads with different colors are always on the inside of the garment.
